Home solar + backup
Offset daytime consumption, carry solar into the evening and reserve capacity for essential circuits during outages.
NorthPoint designs, engineers and delivers solar and battery systems around the way your property actually uses energy—from the first load analysis to final commissioning.
A better system begins with what you use, when you use it, and what needs to stay powered. We size generation, storage and controls as one operating system.
Offset daytime consumption, carry solar into the evening and reserve capacity for essential circuits during outages.
On-site generation and storage engineered around operating hours, electrical demand and capital planning.
Add storage to an existing solar system or start with backup power now and build toward solar later.
Solar stays at the centre. NorthPoint can also design the battery, EV charging and electrical capacity around it—either as standalone work or as one coordinated project.
Add battery storage now for outage resilience and time-of-use load shifting, even when rooftop solar is not part of the project.
Plan a dedicated home charging circuit around the vehicle, daily driving needs and the property’s available electrical capacity.
Prepare the electrical backbone for solar, storage and EV charging, including 100A-to-200A service upgrades where the site and utility requirements support it.
Bundling these upgrades with solar can reduce duplicate design work, site visits and electrical rework—often making the overall project more efficient and cost-effective.
Plan the full upgradeEvery region brings different roof geometry, weather, permitting and grid conditions. Site availability is confirmed during the initial assessment.
Homes, commercial roofs and strata properties across Metro Vancouver and the Fraser Valley.
Solar, storage and resilience planning for coastal homes and businesses.
Project-by-project EPC support for properties beyond the coast, subject to site and utility review.

solar projects completed by the NorthPoint team.
Our team brings completed-project experience into a focused BC solar and storage company. One plan connects the engineering decisions, equipment selection, construction details and commissioning work.
Engineer: review electrical usage, site constraints, system architecture and backup priorities.
Procure: match equipment to the design, warranty requirements and long-term service plan.
Construct: coordinate installation, interconnection and commissioning as one delivery process.
Use your monthly electricity bill and property profile to create a practical conversation starter—not a sales promise.
Planning assumptions: $0.14/kWh average effective energy cost, 950–1,100 kWh annual production per installed kW, $3/W solar, $1,000/kWh battery, and 75% of the current bill offset. Residential rebate illustration shows up to $5,000 for solar plus up to $5,000 for battery storage; eligibility, program availability, equipment, HPCN installer rules, actual costs and savings must be verified. Commercial projects are assessed for the federal Clean Technology ITC separately. Snapshot: October 2026.
Clear decision points keep technical work visible and the project moving.
Bill review, backup priorities, roof and electrical screening.
System sizing, equipment architecture and project economics.
Permitting, procurement, installation and utility coordination.
System testing, monitoring setup and owner handover.
Verified customer reviews can be added here as NorthPoint collects permission to publish them. Until then, the standard is explicit.
Production assumptions, equipment choices and backup limits are explained before a contract is signed.
Scheduling, safety, weather protection and cleanup are part of the delivery plan—not afterthoughts.
Commissioning ends with monitoring access, an owner walkthrough and a clear support path.
Yes, but annual production is seasonal. A sound design models the full year, accounts for roof orientation and shading, and avoids promising summer output in December.
A battery can carry daytime solar into the evening, support selected loads during outages and reduce how much excess generation leaves the property at the fixed export-credit rate.
Qualifying BC Hydro residential customers may be eligible for up to $5,000 for solar and an additional $5,000 for battery storage. Taxable Canadian corporations may be eligible for a 30% federal Clean Technology ITC on qualifying property, subject to rules and labour requirements. Eligibility is verified for each project.
The model is end-to-end EPC: engineering, equipment procurement, construction coordination, interconnection and commissioning are managed as one delivery process.
